Decolonise HU invites everyone interested in our work to join us for our ULM5 letter writing session in HU Campus Mitte. For a whole year, Crow, Daniel, Leandra, Vi and Zo have been imprisoned and isolated, bearing the full force of German state repression for resisting apartheid, occupation and genocide.
This evening is an invitation to write togehter and think together about colonial continuities, institutional complicity, and resistance. Starting from our own position within the university, we want to ask what decolonial organising can mean in practice: How do we confront the university’s entanglements in colonial violence? What does it mean to refuse complicity? How can struggles within the university connect to resistance beyond it?
Everyone is welcome, whether you are interested in joining our collective, want to learn more about our work, have questions, or simply want to write a letter to the ULM5.
We will bring postcards and pens and snacks.
