Meet with Die Plattform, a federational anarcho-communist organisation
Anarchism manifests in ideas and practices that were rooted in social movements from the start. Today, anarchism is often seen as an utopian ideology, a pure rejection of the system without a real direction, or an intellectual exercise. But really, anarchism is exercised by people and social movements, since the 1st Internationale and before. It exists through our practices in everyday life, and has united workers around the world against any forms of authority for decades. But anarchists are often divided in terms of political stands, goals and strategies. Plattformism tries to bring together revolutionaries to debate and strategize so that our fights against capitalism, patriarchy, colonialism and all dominations can gain strength and efficacy.
We believe that organising today is the best way to prepare for and fight against the inevitable crisis produced by capitalism. To coordinate our efforts, we created a growing federation of local groups. By doing this, we share experiences and solidarity not only all across Germany, but also internationally. Most importantly, we try through our activism to recreate communities and tear down the walls of individualism that capitalism has build.
We are looking forward to meet with you and tell a bit about the history of anarchism, our own experiences and our group. Any questions welcome.
